Jennifer Janeway Home is a curated home décor shop and design studio in Sewickley, PA. We believe in telling the story of a home through thoughtful, timeless design. Our shop offers a mix of hand-selected furnishings, accessories, seasonal décor, and lifestyle pieces. We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and design-minded sales associate to join our team and help us create a welcoming, inspiring experience for every customer who walks through our doors.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting clients in the shop.

Share product knowledge and styling tips to help customers select home décor pieces that suit their needs.

Process sales transactions accurately using POS system.

Maintain shop appearance: restocking shelves, merchandising displays, tidying, and ensuring the store is visually appealing.

Assist with unpacking, tagging, and organizing new inventory.

Support in-store events and promotions as needed.

Uphold the brand voice and values by creating a warm, personalized shopping experience.
Qualifications

Prior retail or customer service experience preferred, but not required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Interest in interior design, home décor, or lifestyle retail.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a small team.

Comfortable using technology for POS transactions, email, or social media support.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Schedule & Pay

Part-time: approx. 10–20 hours/week, including some Saturdays.

Flexible scheduling, with additional hours possible during events or holiday seasons.

Competitive hourly rate based on experience, and an employee discount.
