About Us

Jennifer Janeway Home is a curated home décor shop and design studio in Sewickley, PA. We believe in telling the story of a home through thoughtful, timeless design. Our shop offers a mix of hand-selected furnishings, accessories, seasonal décor, and lifestyle pieces. We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and design-minded sales associate to join our team and help us create a welcoming, inspiring experience for every customer who walks through our doors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting clients in the shop.

  • Share product knowledge and styling tips to help customers select home décor pieces that suit their needs.

  • Process sales transactions accurately using POS system.

  • Maintain shop appearance: restocking shelves, merchandising displays, tidying, and ensuring the store is visually appealing.

  • Assist with unpacking, tagging, and organizing new inventory.

  • Support in-store events and promotions as needed.

  • Uphold the brand voice and values by creating a warm, personalized shopping experience.

 

Qualifications

  • Prior retail or customer service experience preferred, but not required.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Interest in interior design, home décor, or lifestyle retail.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a small team.

  • Comfortable using technology for POS transactions, email, or social media support.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.

 

Schedule & Pay

  • Part-time: approx. 10–20 hours/week, including some Saturdays.

  • Flexible scheduling, with additional hours possible during events or holiday seasons.

  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience, and an employee discount.
